At Warminster School, we are incredibly grateful for the OVs who continue to support and stay connected with our community. Today, we celebrate Adge Secker, who left Warminster in 1980 but remains a dedicated part of school life, attending OV events and even managing to stay connected via his business.

Adge is a generous donor and the proud sponsor of our Social Sixes & Summer BBQ Event which will be taking place again on Sunday 23rd June 2025, a much-loved event now entering its third year. Thanks to his support, this fantastic event has grown in both size and success, bringing together staff, parents, pupils, and alumni to enjoy sunshine, cricket, a delicious BBQ, a cheeky beer or 2 (for the adults!) and the chance to relive fond memories of Warminster School. Last year we welcomed over 120 members of our school comunity to the event. The sixes format makes it fun and accessible for all, we also included a coaching session for prep school pupils and younger siblings to enjoy- creating a truly special community day to end the school year. Here are last years highlights- watch here.

Reflecting on his time at Warminster and his continued involvement, Adge shared:
"Warminster School had a huge impact on my life, and being part of the OV community means so much to me. Attending the 1973 Club Lunch last September brought back incredible memories and lifelong friendships. Seeing familiar faces after 40 years, with only a few extra grey hairs, is a reminder of the strong bonds this school creates."

"I remember cricket at Warminster so well—Commander Atwater dropping a purple hanky on the wicket and saying, ‘Secker, aim right here!’ Cricket has remained a passion of mine, so being able to sponsor and take part in a Warminster cricket event is something I truly appreciate. What makes it even more special is collaborating with fellow OV Hilary Green, Head Designer at Dartington Crystal, to create a stunning trophy that will become part of the school’s legacy for years to come."

"I’ve attended several events, including the OV golf day, and being part of this community is something truly special."

Thank you, Adge, for your continued generosity and commitment to Warminster School. Your support helps bring alumni and our school community together and ensures the spirit of Warminster continues for generations to come.

We are always grateful to OVs, parents, and friends of the school who give back in any way—whether through sponsorship, mentoring, or simply reconnecting. If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you! Email: Community@warminsterschool.org.uk.
