Welcome to our Summer Term Community Newsletter !!!

At Warminster School, our mission is to actively engage with our community, leveraging our resources and expertise to collaborate with state-funded schools & local community groups, to learn from them and offer support to local, national, and international charitable organisations.

With this newsletter, you can find out what the pupils have been up to, what we have planned and how we engage with the local community in Warminster

How Many Hours??

Since September the pupils from year 10, 11, 12 & 13, have been busy volunteering in numerous clubs during EDGE with a total of  6134 hours spent in our local community this year so far

Flower Bed Fun...

For the past few years Warminster School have been lucky enough to join other schools from Warminster and plant up our very own flower bed in Warminster Town Park. Lots of hard work went into making a lovely display, which will be enjoyed all through the summer months. If you are out and about this summer, pop down and have a look.

Community Tea Party

Our annual Community Tea Party was held on Wednesday 25th June. This has now become a regular event in the school calendar & it's a thank you to all our community partners. Without these partnerships, we couldn't do what we do and that is to give back. As a school we are so proud of every pupil, the charities we work with and local support groups. Together we are stronger.

Minster Church Fete

Well what a amazing day we had. It was sunny, a little rainy, lots of singing and lots of Pimms!!

The whole school pulls together to support the Minster Church, to make the fete a day full of fun and laughter. Local primary schools joined us along with our Prep School choir, to entertain the crowds with the BIG SING. The grand total raised for the church was £3784

U3A Croquet

Our local U3A group have become such a welcomed sight around school each Wednesday afternoon. This club has grown very popular over the past few years, with more and more visitors joining us for a game on the school lawns. Pupils join in learning new skills and exchanging stories. Its a lovely way to spend a few hours on a sunny afternoon.

Minster School Drama Club

Warminster School pupils along with Mrs. Harris, our Head of Drama, run a weekly Drama Club for pupils at Minster Primary school. It's lovely to see pupils gain confidence using drama and expression. Our pupils are encouraged to plan and lead these sessions, along with support from Mrs. Harris. We very much look forward to returning in the Autumn term.

Ashwood Care Centre

It has been another fantastic year visiting Ashwood Centre each week to run Art sessions. Mrs. Woodyatt, our Art teacher from the Prep School, really does bring the fun into Art. Flowers garlands, butterflies, rainbows & even a game of countdown was played!! Our pupils really have stepped up and made a difference. We are told these sessions are the highlight of the week for the residents who join us. We again can't wait to be back in September.

Summer Holiday News...
