At Warminster School, we are always delighted to welcome OVs back through our doors, especially those who continue to give their time and talents so generously to current pupils. Today, we celebrate India, who left Warminster in 2022 but remains a familiar and valued part of school life through her continued support of the Music Department.
Returning regularly for concerts, rehearsals, and performances, India joins school orchestras and choirs alongside current pupils and fellow OVs, helping to create the vibrant musical community that makes Warminster so special. Music played a huge role throughout her 18 years at the school, and she remains deeply connected to the department and the opportunities it gave her.
Reflecting on her time at Warminster and why she continues to return, India shared:
“Returning to Warminster for Music and Sport events are truly the highlight of my year. Since I left the school in 2022 I have missed everything that Warminster had offered me on a daily basis. Music was such a large part of my life during my many years at Warminster and I have my Warminster music teachers to thank for that.
As a student you can get involved with as little or as much Music as you like! Whether you’re a beginner or pro, the Music department becomes a second home. This has carried on into my OV life and I return almost termly to play with the School orchestras and choirs, along with many other OVs who were involved in music during their time at the school.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to give back to the current pupils and teachers, as well as reminisce on my favourite music days at Warminster School. I fondly remember OVs returning when I was a pupil to help with the difficult orchestra pieces, and it’s crazy to think that that is now me! I often say that I miss my school days so much, hence I would recommend all OVs to come back and visit whichever school department influenced them during their school days!”
We are so grateful to India and all the OVs who continue to support our pupils by sharing their time, encouragement, and passion. Their involvement helps strengthen the sense of community that continues long after leaving Warminster.
We are always grateful to OVs, parents, and friends of the school who give back in any way—whether through sponsorship, mentoring, making a donation, donating their deposit, or simply reconnecting.
If there’s a particular area of school life or a project you’re passionate about, we’d love to explore how you can get involved. Email: Community@warminsterschool.org.uk
