The battle of Cross Country- See our highlights video here!

Congratulations to everyone who took part in House Cross Country yesterday afternoon. Whilst the weather was fantastic, conditions underfoot were challenging – as they should be for cross country! We were proud of how hard many of our pupils worked in giving this tough event their all, as well as being inspired by the support they showed for one another as runners rounded Byne Paddock to the finish.

We were also delighted to see a number of parents supporting, one wonders if a parent race might prove popular next year..?!

Despite the relatively slow ground conditions, several school records fell.  Adriana G broke the Year 8 girls record with a time of 27:12.  Jess G the Year 10 girls record with 25:46 and Rosie C-B, the senior girls record over the 7KM course with 30:04.  Although falling short of the record, Griffin W ran superbly to be the first overall male finisher in 29:15.

Congratulations to all houses and Finch for taking home the victory.
