This term, the Drama Department present Chris Bush’s adaptation of Jane Eyre.
Chris’s “witty and fleet-footed adaptation that seeks to present Jane Eyre to a fresh audience while staying entirely true to the original’s revolutionary spirit”. We have chosen this adaptation to create an imaginative staging, making the most of the ensemble.
This is not just a story about a girl with a revolutionary spirit who breaks social constructs, but one of an inner child who faces her fears. We therefore seek to find the passion and strength of this “poor, obscure, plain and little” girl through her nightmarish journey towards adulthood and self-acceptance.
This will be performed at The Athenaeum in Warminster from the 9th of November. We invite you to book tickets via th QR code.
