After much hard work, our outgoing Year 11 pupils have gained a set of results that they should be proud of as a cohort and as individuals. Having suffered during their transition from primary to secondary education, with lockdowns at the end of Year 6 and twice during Year 7, these pupils have had to show real resilience and determination over the last five years to bring themselves to this right-of-passage.

With approximately half of grades awarded at grades 9-6 and one-in-three grades awarded grades 9-7, pupils can now move on to post-16 options of their choice, whether that be A Levels, IB or vocational courses. With particularly strong results in all three Sciences, Art and Photography, Geography and Spanish, Warminster pupils continue to excel in a wide variety of subject areas, demonstrating what it really means to be a Verlucian.

Whilst we are very proud of all our pupils, the following have shown an outstanding level of achievement:

Georgina J achieving six grade 9s and three grade 8s
Grace M who has achieved six grade 9s, two grade 8s and a grade 7
Martha G in achieving four grade 9s, three grade 8s and a grade 7
Freya W with nine grades 9-7
Lily M with nine grades 9-7
Isis S with seven grades 9-7

Headmaster, Matt Williams, commented: “I am so proud of our Year 11 pupils and delighted that they have successfully navigated this stage in their education.  Arguably the most disrupted year group from the Covid lockdowns, a fact that seems to be fading from many memories, they have shown amazing fortitude and determination. I look forward to seeing them start their Sixth Form journey in a couple of weeks and continuing to thrive over the next two years.”

We wish all our pupils the very best of luck in their next stage of education!
