Our Archive renovation was not just for a one event, we are always looking to connect our pupils, past and present, with the history of our school.
Last week, in a twist to their REP (Religion, Ethics and Politics) lesson on community, our Year 7 students embarked on a historic journey through our school's history.
Beginning with a historic tour, pupils delved into the roots of our school community. The highlight of the day? A trip to the recently renovated archive room!
This renovation is a celebration of our heritage and a testament to the importance of preserving our past. By opening up our archive, we're:
🌟 Preserving Our Legacy: Every uniform, photograph, and rulebook is a chapter in the story of our school's journey.
🌟 Inspiring Future Generations: As Year 7 students connect with the past, they are inspired to contribute to the ongoing narrative of our school.
🌟 Building a Sense of Belonging: Trying on uniforms and exploring the archives fosters a deep sense of belonging among our students.🌟 Creating Educational Opportunities: The archive room is a living classroom, offering valuable insights into the historical context of our community.
🌟 Cultivating Appreciation for History: This immersive experience sparks an appreciation for our school's history, instilling pride in being a part of something timeless.
As laughter and discovery filled the air, Year 7 left the archive room with a newfound appreciation for the unique history of our school.
