From hands-on workshops to standing ovations, Warminster School’s 2025 Summer Creative Arts Festival was a two-day celebration of imagination, collaboration, and bold creativity.

Our pupils embraced the spirit of adventure, stepping out of their comfort zones and into over 25 creative workshops – from parkour to pyrography, tie-dying to stage combat. This year’s festival featured 18 brand new workshops, adding fresh energy to an already much-anticipated calendar highlight.

The atmosphere across campus was electric as pupils explored new creative territory. Warhammer strategists built epic narratives while kitchen chemists concocted fizzy experiments. The rhythm of percussion and drumlines echoed through corridors, blending with the laughter from balloon-making and the hush of concentration in the Forest Arts sessions.

Pupil-led creativity stole the show in more ways than one. Not only did several pupils lead their own workshops – showing initiative, leadership, and a love for the arts – but theatre productions took centre stage. Year groups collaborated to perform Animal Farm and Education, Education, Education, while the acclaimed ‘Three Witty Fools’ took their final Warminster bow with a performance of their Edinburgh Fringe sell-out show.

Assistant Head (Co-Curricular), Nicola Rogers, praised the event, “With a fantastic variety of workshops on offer, every pupil had the opportunity to try something new, explore their interests and develop new skills – it was a joyful and inspiring celebration of creativity across our school community.

“A real highlight this year was seeing some of the workshops organised and led by pupils themselves, showing their leadership, initiative and passion for the arts. It was also particularly heartening to see the different age groups working so well together, showing courage, and most importantly, having fun!”

Year 8 pupil Addison summed it up perfectly: “The Summer Festival is so much fun. I loved the choices of things we could do – I found it really hard to choose just a few options! My favourite was pyrography because I learned a new skill that you wouldn’t normally do at school. Some of the productions were great too, especially the Three Witty Fools: it was so funny!’

The Summer Festival once again proved that when creativity leads, remarkable things happen – on stage, in the classroom, and beyond.

Thank you to the WSPA for their support and generosity.
