At Warminster School, we are incredibly grateful for the OVs who go above and beyond to stay connected and give back. Today, we celebrate Lizzie Mayo (OV15), whose hard work behind the scenes is essential to the success of the OV Day of Sport.
This much-loved annual event brings together OVs from across the years to compete, reconnect, and relive their sporting days at Warminster. Lizzie’s dedication to organising teams and rallying participants ensures the day runs smoothly, making it a highlight of the OV calendar. The event offers a fantastic opportunity for alumni to step back onto the pitches, courts, and field where they made so many memories.
Lizzie shared: "I enjoy supporting the OV Day of Sport every year as it’s a great opportunity to give back to the school, and to bring OVs together."
Head of Development and Alumni Relations Laura Gibson added "Beyond the competition, the post-match dinner with pupils is a special opportunity for networking, giving alumni a chance to share experiences, offer guidance, and inspire the next generation. It’s an evening of celebration, connection, and the kind of camaraderie that makes Warminster’s community so unique."
The next OV Day of Sport takes place on Saturday, 15th March 2025, and we’re calling on more OVs to help us make it another incredible day! We’re particularly looking for enthusiastic alumni to help round up players for the sport. If you’d like to come along we’d love to hear from you.
A huge thank you to Lizzie for all she does behind the scenes—your efforts make this event possible, and we are so grateful for your continued support!
