What is Slipper Day?
On Friday, 7th March, Warminster School will be holding a Wear your Slippers to School Day, a nationwide initiative organized by EveryYouth to combat youth homelessness.
Pupils and staff are encouraged to wear their favourite slippers or silly slippers, to school & donate £2 to support the cause. This event aims to raise awareness and funds for the 136,000 young people in the UK who faced homelessness last year.
By holding a Slipper Day, we are supporting EveryYouth which is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting young people aged 16 to 25 who are facing homelessness. Their mission is to empower these individuals by providing access to mental health support, facilitating meaningful employment opportunities, and helping them secure stable housing. Recognizing that homelessness often stems from complex personal and systemic issues, EveryYouth collaborates with a network of regional organizations to deliver tailored, community-based services.
